The college football season has returned in full glory, with every conference set to play a full schedule following a 2020 season with numerous stops and starts, or no play at all due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
ESPN will carry the most games of all networks, with games on Thursdays, Fridays and full slates on Saturdays across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, streamed on ESPN3.com, and available on subscription ESPN+. ESPN will move three Saturday games to ABC, generally at noon, 3:30 p.m. and a prime-time spot. Numerous games from smaller conferences will also air on ESPN College Sports Extra channels.
Fox Sports has an impressive slate as well, also airing at noon, 3:30 p.m. and prime time on the Fox network channels (WNYW-5 in New York), and additional games on cable channel Fox Sports 1.
CBS Sports (WCBS-2 in New York) still owns the rights to the Southeastern Conference, airing games at 3:30 p.m. on Saturdays, with the occasional noon or prime-time doubleheaders.
CBS Sports Network remains the cable home for Army, Navy and Air Force football, in addition to games from the American Athletic Conference and Mountain West.
NBC Sports (WNBC-4 in New York) is the home for Notre Dame football. One Fighting Irish game will air exclusively on the subscription streaming Peacock with the remainder on NBC. New York radio station WBBR (1130-AM) will also carry Notre Dame games.
The Big Ten Network, Pac 12 Network, SEC Network and ACC Network will also feature at least one conference game per week. If there are conflicting schedules, overflow games will air on spillover channels for the Big Ten and SEC Alternative.
Madison Square Garden Network, SportsNet New York and YES Network will also carry games syndicated from the major conferences.
Army football games will air on WBNR (1260-AM), WLNA (1420-AM) and WGHQ (920-AM).
Sirius XM Radio will air every Power 5 conference game – many on each league’s dedicated channel – plus additional major Division I contests.
Here are the announced schedules for the major networks and regional sports channels. Following week three, networks will fill in upcoming schedules six- or 12-days ahead of time.
